Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE HALLOWEEN so when Main Man and I along with our buddies were invited to partake in a Target Inspired Halloween Workshop with Mom Ambassador Soleil Moon Frye this past Tuesday it was a definite no questions asked day for this Main Mama. Many of us remember Soleil as our childhood idol Punky Brewster , it was quite interesting explaining to my 5 year old that she was to me what Pokemon is to him right now.
We were greeted at Target Studios in NYC with the children receiving “trick or treat” bags, but there were no tricks in store for any of us just wonderful treats. The children were invited to different areas throughout the studio where they were invited to take a look at and try out some of the great looks Target has to offer this Halloween season.
The first area we stopped at was a great arts and crafts area where the children tested Kid Made Modern Skull Shaped Crayons along with pumpkins and masks to make and design your own using stickers and foam shapes the children created great works of art.
Children both young and old were constantly offered treats and I personally came away with many ideas we will use for pumpkin decorating and our Halloween Party later this month. With Party Place ideas from Target you can realistically plan a great Halloween Inspired Party by shopping at Target for about $100.00.
If you have not already, you should definitely shop Target for your one stop Halloween Shopping. Wether you are looking for accessories for the vampire living in your house or the princess living within you . Target is the place where you are sure to find everything you will need and so much more you will want for all of your families Halloween needs.
As we were leaving our Halloween Workshop us moms were given our own bag of tricks and treats with a delicious recipe to make Monster Trail Mix Bars which were one of the treats we were given to taste during our stay at Target Studios. Both Main Man & I enjoyed the bars so we have decided to make them for our upcoming party and you can to by following the recipe below.
Monster Trail Mix Bars Makes 36 Servings

1. Heat Oven to 350 degrees. Line 15x10x1 inch jelly roll pan with aluminum foiled leaving a 1 inch overhand on ends, spray foil with cooking spray. Place graham crackers onto foil with sides touching.
2. Melt butter and brown sugar in medium saucepan on MEDIUM hear, stirring constantly, until smooth and mixture comes to a boil, about 5 minutes. Pour evenly over crackers.
3. Bake 5 to 6 minutes or until bubbly overall
4. Remove pan from oven , sprinkle with marshmallows and trail mix. Continue baking until marshmallows begin to soften, about 2 to 3 minutes. Cool completely . Lift from pan using foil. Cut into bars and enjoy!
We plan on making Monster Trail Mix Bars for all our Halloween Parties this year will you be to?
