Make it a Sweet Summer of Family Fun Making Memories At Hershey Park
Disclaimer: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Main Street Mama is all about Family Fun , Making Memories and spending time together. Since we have cousins who live in Hershey Pennsylvania we usually plan on visiting them at least three times during the summer months so that we can take advantage of the sweetest place on earth Hershey Park being so close to where they live. Main Man’s cousins are either a year and a half older or younger than him. This makes going to Hershey Park fun for everyone. It is a great place for the cousins old and young to bond, spend time together and create wonderful memories and traditions that hopefully one day they will carry on to their own children.
Hershey Park has something for everyone. My son and his cousins are definitely thrill seekers and love the roller coasters and enjoy checking to see what candy they measure up to be. Wether you are a Reeses’ , a Jolly Rancher or a Kiss decides which of the over 65 rides and attractions they are able to enjoy. When we plan to visit Hershey Park we tend to do one day of dry rides and one day where we rent a cabana by the Boardwalk and spend a majority of our time doing the water rides. When you rent a cabana you not only get Hershey Park towels, sunscreen, water , waitress service and a bathroom not used to the general admission in the park you get unlimited access to the lazy river which makes my husband a very happy man and dad.
While visiting Hershey PA we try to take full advantage of everything the area has to offer from Zoo America (which is included in your park admission) to the spa at the Hershey Hotel. Did you know that at the Hershey Hotel you can get a Chocolate massage? I know this working mama could sure use one of those and it is on my list for one of our trips this summer. Since our trip is really about family and bonding after I de-stress with my massage we plan on checking out one of the many concerts offered throughout the summer. Our family is full of Big Time Rush fans and we look forward to seeing them on July 19th at the Hershey Park Stadium.
There are four different venues where you can see a concert in the Hershey complex. With performers from the likes of Dave Matthews, Tony Bennett, Journey or One Direction, both young kids and those young at heart are sure to have a great time.
One place we look forward to dining at this summer is the recently opened restaurant at the Hershey Hotel , The Circular which offers dining in a fun environment without the fast food taste. Wether your looking for a small portioned meal, a steak or just cocktails this restaurant is the place for you.
Wether your staying at the Hotel Hershey, Camping at the Hershey HighMeadow Campground or like us staying with family no visit to the sweetest place on earth would be complete without a trip to Chocolate World where you can purchase your Hershey favorites as fresh as fresh can be. Each year I stock up not only on fresh chocolate licorice but on tins of Chocolate smelling candles. The candles make my house smell like I have been baking cookies all day long.
While you are visiting Chocolate World be sure to check out a new 4-D interactive experience that opened this past month, Hershey’s Great Chocolate Factory Mystery.
Our whole family loves Hershey Park so much that not only do we usually visit three times during the summer, we generally visit the park for Hershey Park in the Dark which is a fun filled Halloween Happenings during October complete with trick or treating in park. Many often ask why we live so far yet purchase season tickets each year and then they visit for the 1st time themselves and call me and say now I understand , because it truly is the sweetest place on earth.
