Ford Warriors In Pink #MoreGoodDay

Ford Warriors In Pink #MoreGoodDays

As many of you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This past Thursday I was invited to a luncheon with The Moms to kick off Ford Warriors In Pink #MoreGoodDays campaign. The luncheon was hosted by Ford Motor company at the Carlyle Hotel in NYC , where we were joined by singer Kristen Chenoweth.

I have been apart of The Moms Network for almost 4 years now. This luncheon was extra special and more emotional since Denise from The Moms  was diagnosed  with Breast Cancer this past year. Denise has used her media presence and chose to share her story  with us.

Fords movement #MoreGoodDays is an initiative to help those touched by breast cancer. The initiative provides tips, tools and resources for patients, survivors and thrivers. Even meals right to their doorsteps. Working together with Green Chef delivering fresh, organic ingredients and healthy, chef-inspired recipes.

Ford has been involved in Breast Cancer awareness for 22 years and has raised more than $130 million for #MoreGoodDays.

Being able to meet and  hear stories from Fords Models of Courage ,these armies of warriors help the fight. Ford feels by giving these brave men and women the good days they deserve they are  empowering them to do the same for others in their communities.

Chenoweth with her amazing voice and heartfelt words of wisdom inspired everyone to fight harder and be supportive. One piece of advise that she shared was that you should surround yourself with your own community.

Denise has created her own community in which she encourages, supports and motivates those who are #futurecancersurvivors, #survivors and their families. Sharing her journey on social media, print and television a true example of  Warriors in Pink.

Denise motivated me to put on my bitch bra and go for my mammogram.  I had been putting it off for to long. I had been told in the past I had dense breasts, therefore I now knew ask for a sonogram. Thankfully my mammogram and sonogram were normal ,and I have already scheduled my appointment for my yearly follow-up.
