Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Kids Week 2015

If you live in New York you know there is nothing like exploring our own great city anytime of the year. We enjoy making a day in New York City , showing main man the culture, sites, visiting favorite restaurants and of course throwing in a bit of education and history.

During February StayCation break we try to plan as many visits to NYC as possible. When we first hears of Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Kids Week 2015 we all agreed this is something that has been on our family bucket list. I visited the Intrepid many years ago and what better way to reconnect with my youth than to revisit and see it through the eyes of my son.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will host their annual Kids Week from Monday, February 16 – Saturday, February 21.  During Kids Week, children will have the opportunity to participate in dozens of fun, educational and interactive activities the whole family will enjoy.

This year, Kids Week will explore the theme of flight.  From the science of aviation to sustaining life in outer space, each day will offer unique opportunities for discovery.  Kids can learn how to grow food in space, create their own telescopes, and master the physics of aviation while making a perfect paper airplane. Families can learn about the stars in our pop-up planetarium, watch exciting science demonstrations or get an up-close look at live birds of prey. Explore high-flying science with workshops, screenings, and a host of special guests including NASA engineers, space scientists, aviators, and children’s book authors.

All Kids Week programming is free with Museum admission. Visit Intrepid Kids Week for full Schedule!
